Manual Bills can be used to enter A/R values which are not processed through normal transaction and billing procedures. They are often used for beginning balances or for when a bill was manually created outside of Juris. Timekeeper hours and rates, and other fee/expense coding (i.e., Task Codes, Activity Codes, Optional Codes) are not allowed.
Some things to keep in mind when working with manual bills are:
Manual bills post as soon as you save them, so any changes you need to make have to be done through credit memos.
To edit a manual bill, you create a negative adjustment credit memo to negate the original manual bill, and then create a new manual bill with the correct information.
Manual bills cannot be deleted. However, an offsetting negative adjustment can be applied through a credit memos.
To delete a manual bill, you create a negative adjustment using a credit memo.
